Ben Day 9/365 Garmin
A great mud slinger through Leigh Woods close to Ollie's school and Ashton Court - not been here for a long while (since I lost my Scouts in the woods orienteering over summer at least!) - in true Leigh Woods fashion I ended up finding a new route and descending into Avon Gorge (in all the years I've been runing through these stunning woods, I've never taken the same route twice!).
Realising I was heading down hill to the River Avon when I wanted to stay on the flat I battled up through calf and knee deep mud leaf litter and roots to get back onto the cliff tops and ran to the stuning vantage point overlooking Clifton Suspension Bridge around the back of the Stone Age Hill Fort. Greeat cathedrals of beautiful Beech trees - Bristol's got it all baby - all on our doorstep - we're SO lucky!
I noticed that they're building a new massive Blue MTB route in the woods - looks like it will be ready soonish too...Oliver will be happy!
