Should have been club run morning, but felt totally out of it so left run till later on. Went for a mid morning run but honestly did not feel like it, nothing left in legs ! got Taunton Marathon next weekend, not very hopefull for a good time. Just seem to have lost mojo at moment, need to charge the batteries I think, pasta week ahead.

90/365 Easter Sunday 10 miles by Big Kev

Well surprise, surprise another sub zero start but at least we had the sunshine with us as well this morning. As most of the group are tapering for one race or another it was nice to all be together to the end (well all but one) of today's 10 miler.

The month is at an end so it's time for some totals. I have covered 143 miles this month in 18:19:23 which bring the running total (excuse the pun) to 413 miles in 53:56:55.

It's been another month of firsts and far to many to mention them all in one go, some of not though are a new Park Run 5k PB, my longest run since Bristol half last year and the coldest March since 1946 (allegedly as I wasn't there myself). My thanks again go to my supportive family, kind sponsors and followers through social media.

89/365 New PB at Park Run 5k by Big Kev

89/365 New PB at Park Run 5k by Big Kev

After yesterday's hilly run I had said to myself that I would go easy, who am I kidding!! Oh yeah myself as everyone else knows me better.

I love Park Run and the Ashton Court event, it is almost 2 years old and I have had a side bet with myself that I would try and get a PB this year. My PB had been 20:02 and a sub 20 minute run has been on my card for almost as long as it has been going. With a lighter week with regards to miles I am sure it made the difference and I now the very proud owner of a 19:55 5K. No whilst this did not challenge for the lead and that I have run the 5K distance faster elsewhere, no other 5K is as challenge (in my opinion) or as breathtaking (quite literally) from the top of Ashton court.

With the run done, finished and packed away by 9:30am the rest of the day has been for the family. My Sister and her lovely family came in for lunch and then we visited my as lovely Aunt Anne who is still fighting and laughing in St Peters hospice in Bristol. She is one of the reasons why I am out running everyday and she had nothing but good words to say about the support she has had from everyone around her, especially the Macmillan Nurses.

Please give generously if you can as they do everyday.

88/365 5 miles off piste in the woods by Big Kev

88/365 5 miles off piste in the woods by Big Kev

Good Friday run was dictated by me, not the weather, not the time I finished work and not the plans already made. I didn't need to be back somewhere or finish something off before bed (for a change). So off piste running in the daylight was in order. I am so lucky, as from where I live I have so many trails and paths to run. I headed away from Abbots Leigh and towards the hills and steep trails in between here and Failand.

With no rain over the last few days it was fairly safe underfoot and the views were exciting. I will certainly be using this route again over the coming weeks, might put the real trail shoes on next time.

More than happy to share it as well.

Wow although really cold the sun was actually out. Had forgotten what it looked like :-) Ventured out of Meltham for the first time in about 10 days. Couldn't believe how much snow there was. At one point running along a lane and the snow was approx. 8/9 feet high either side, amazing. Got a busy weekend so will be a couple of short runs but hoping to get out again for a longer one on Easter Monday.

Day 87 was a fast-ish 5k (for me anyway) and day 88 was a 17 mile training run. Considering that I could barely walk 5 weeks ago, I'm totally delighted that I managed to run 17 miles without stopping (except to get across roads). Mega chuffed!!

So yesterdays deadlines turned into today's appointments. This therefore made for a very early start and today's run has been forced in between lots of time spent at the computer. Guess what? I am back at the computer again, another note to self, over the next few days spend more time away from the computer rather than in front of it.

It would be nice to do some visiting over the weekend as someone is very poorly who needs all our support, lets hope we can.

With deadlines not budging something had to give, so today's run was squeezed in at almost the end of the day. With things still to do I didn't hang around especially as the last mile is uphill! I am pleased with any sub 21 min 5K so considering the build up to it I am very happy.

I have made a note to self, that I must make sure I run earlier rather than later in the day, as running late brings its own stresses are are not to be repeated.

I think I saw the sun through the snow showers today, but I may have been mistaken.

Joy to run again

I have never been so keenly aware of the weather prior to my commitment to run every day. This morning I woke at 5am to a 44 degree windless morning and for one of few times this winter it was, once again, a joy to run - to be outside. I feel like I could breath today! Looking forward to another and if the weatherman is correct (ha ha) I would be waking to temps in the 60's this weekend!

85/365 Leigh Woods Loop 5K by Big Kev

What a productive day today has been, work, family and friends have all helped with making today noteworthy. The hard work at work is paying off, family are rallying round those that need their support and friends are getting some good karma pay back. The one chink in all this is that someone in the family is having to fight just a little bit harder than they can, just to be with us. We all send our love and we all wish you well, never every give up, as we won't give up on you.

For those that can help with my sponsorship please do, as every penny counts and make a real difference when it really matters.

84/365 Downs to Home fast 5K by Big Kev

84/365 Downs to Home fast 5K by Big Kev

It was a quick dash home from work, a quick change and an even quicker run home as Tina was dropping James back to his home, so I grabbed a lift on the outward leg. I much prefer point to point running as it nice to feel that every step forward is one closer to home.

I seemed to get into my stride really quickly and before I knew it I was on for a PB, not the ideal conditions for it, not the ideal planing or even the ideal route for it. So when I turned the corner to home to find that this is the quickest 5K this year I was pleasantly surprised.

Running clears the head and focus the mind like no other activity I have done, so I am up for the rest of this challenge, one day at a time.

83/365 Downs to Home 6.5 Miles by Big Kev

Well after the panic of Saturday and the Forest of Dean being postponed, one message to facebook was all that was need to get organised for today. The supportive ladies of GWR rallied around as it was Cat Mills birthday and the trip to FOD was also meant to be a bit of a jolly. So with a time and distance agreed we all set off into the cold. I had for the first mile anyway, got used to being outside in the cold this year, but turning into the wind reminded me that wind chill really does mean chill! With intermittent stops to regroup I made my own executive decision to cut the run short, especially as I was only a mile from home when I made the choice. I remember coming into the warm and instantly getting an ice cream headache and taking the next hour to recover. With no time to sit on my laurels it was back out in the cold to collect the laptop after it had allegedly been fixed, only to find out it wasn't ready and wouldn't be ready until Monday!

Some days you should just stay inside! Oh I almost forgot can't do that on this challenge.

Another couple of days done and dusted, must admit it's getting a little depressing all this cold running. I know here in Somerset we are perhaps lucky (we have no snow) but it is still cold, never mind summertime starts on Sunday !!!!! someone needs to quickly tell spring before it misses itself ! Day 82 was a minimum distance run to get my hair cut before going away for the weekend to a Murder Mystery night for my 45th birthday to Crianlarich Hotel. I love the area and would've ran part of the West Highland Way on day 83 but there was too much snow and it was freezing cold with a wind chill of about -12 degrees celsius. Instead I ran a minimum 2 miles up a woodland trail and love love loved it. The yaktraxs are absolutely brilliant and I didn't slip in the snow and ice once.

Pete Day 265 and 266 - The long and short by Pljrun

Two runs to catch up on, ran home from work yesterday, my last long run before Taunton Marathon. Must admit at 14 miles I was very wet and very cold, called into North Curry Post office for a bar of comfort food !! Couldn't even get my gloves off to get my money out, when I did I dropped it all and couldn't pick it up. Felt like giving up but a bar of choccy later got going again. Must admit it was one of my least enjoyable runs home, when is the weather going to get warmer? At least it's not snowing like other parts of the country.

Today was just a standard 3 miler to Bowdens crest and back home via Tescos to get the breakfast bread.

A friend of mine is a nutritionist and one of his posts yesterday commented on the fact that over the last 12 months of all the people he has tested for vitamin D all but 3 were deficient. No great surprise there as I have almost forgot the last time I saw the sun!

The run today was taken at a relatively easy pace as I am preparing for tomorrows Forest of Dean Half. The forecast is for snow all day in Coleford!

So as I typed the last line I thought I had better check the organisers website and I am gutted, the race has been postponed due to the weather conditions. Something about runners safety and wind chill of -9. Then I remembered that normal people haven't been out running every day for the last 82 days! So phone calls and texts need to be sent and plans reorganised to see what the running plans are for tomorrow. I am guessing a long run with the marathon group around Bristol might be in order.

One more special mention to my Aunt Anne who is in hospital today, keep on fighting and we all send our love.

81/365 Out and back in Leigh Woods 5K by Big Kev

A very welcome end to a very busy and productive week. With all that's going on around with work, family and friends I am happy to be blogging at the start of the weekend. My thoughts go out to family that have lost someone close, to new business acquaintances who are finding it tough and to all the people working hard to raise awareness and funds for other less fortunate than themselves.

The grips of the weather seem to have skirted around Bristol so far, so I was lucky again to be out in the dry for this mornings run. The trails on our doorstep are a real pleasure to run at any time of day or night and I was happy to be on them this morning. The leg feels fine even after the quick turnaround from last night and feels OK for Sunday. It would be nice to attempt a Park Run at Ashton Court tomorrow, but the call of the duvet maybe just too strong, lets see what tomorrows blog brings.

Jack: Day 271-275/365...Easy short ones.

This week has been horrifically busy at work. I have had essays handed which have required an incredible marking turnaround and also observed lessons to prepare for. I have also received my first job interview for a position starting in August which means I have been manically trying to revise different elements of the curriculum and practice my interview technique. All in all it has been a tough week and fitting in my run has been a challenge. I have managed to squeeze most of these in before school however I did indulge myself by skipping my morning run on Friday to allow myself a lie in bed until 6am. Luxury! Do not worry though I did the run after school instead (with a couple of kilometres tagged onto the end for good measure!).

A worrying prospect just now is the weather! This evening's run took place as a gentle snowfall drifted from the heavens. I thought we had seen the last of the winter and was just about ready to settle in for a nice couple of months spent running in the sunshine! Nightmare!

Following the 12 miles of yesterday an early start was required as the work schedule is stacking up, in a good way. I most definitely tore something in my lower calf yesterday as the large lump and black bruise that has appeared this morning meant the effort and speed I wanted to but in where affected.

Some more icing and support is required, especially if this coming Sunday's race is to stay on the cards.

Sunday club run, decided to do the first off road of the year as the river banks have dried out a bit now. Only to find that after all the rain of the weekend had caused the river to overflow in multiple places, so we were running through lots of mini rivers (some not so mini). At least the bank was still reatively firm under foot, only a few muddy patched, great run though, really enjoyed it and will be back out again next weekend.

It then became very cold because I was wet and the wind was right accross but once I put on the extra coat I felt a bit better. Still had a good run and am a bit more confident for Taunton.

Yippee - longest run of the year so far! Went out with the intention of doing circa 6 miles but as I didn't have anything to rush home for and felt okay extended to 9. Cold but a lovely bright day, may be Spring is coming after all :-)

Charles: Day 74 to 76/365 - Three tough runs

Three more runs and one was a 15 miler. I literally ran out of energy over the last 3 miles and had to walk a fair bit of it. My watch says I burnt over 3200 calories so no wonder I was exhausted but it does show me that I need to work on my nutrition whilst running. The long run was also quite ambitous with the amount of long steep hill climbs that were involved. Knackered but enjoyed it. I'm also struggling with a bad chest cold at the moment that I just can't seem to shake off.

Jack: Day 270/365...Post Deerstalker.

After yesterday's race and party I was dreading heading out for today's run. Having packed up or tents in the rain this morning, and just about dried off on the journey home, all I wanted to do was have a hot bath and get some warm clothes on. Instead I had to throw on my running shoes and head back out in the rain to pound the streets for another 5k. I managed it and came back to a lazy afternoon on the sofa and some well earned lunch!

Jack: Day 269/365...The Mighty Deerstalker!

After weeks of anticipation, the Mighty Deerstalker event arrived! I traveled down to Peebles in the morning with a few of the guys from work and we managed to arrive and register without too many issues. A fear of the cold resulted in us packing ten sleeping bags (between four of us!) which meant that we were able to pad out the floor of the tent and throw an additional sheet over the top of our sleeping bags - little chance of the cold penetrating this fortress! On the drive down the snow started falling and got heavier and heavier. A thick white blanket formed on the surrounding hills and I couldn't help but think about the icy 'running through the river' section which I had heard so much about. After watching the 5k competitors finish it was only a matter of hours before our own race got underway and so we grabbed some lunch and prepared our costumes. The bull runners of Pamplona were making an appearance in Peebles!

Finally, white costumes on, we made our way to the start line. As we cleared the first obstacle ( a hay bale hurdle) I found myself in 2nd place and feeling comfortable. I was still in second as we approached the first river crossing. This was a jump over a river however I didn't feel I could clear the water and so aimed to land in the water. I came down hard and, having misjudged the depth of the water, plunged under the surface. I felt my knee collide with a rock on the riverbed and I fell quickly forward. As I struggled to climb out the other side my Garmin sunk completely under the mud and began to flash at me. The sharp pain in my knee was agony and for a few yards I considered pulling out. I did not want to ruin my run365challenge however I was determined to finish the race. I lost quite a few places in the aftermath of this jump as my pace suffered due to my sore knee. Eventually however the pain died down and I managed to continue. The hills were the hardest that I have ever encountered and the big scree slope was incredible. I felt my lower back starting to ache as I practically crawled up the scree and I slowly made my way to the top.

The snow and water left the hills, and most of the flat, incredibly slippery. I found the race pretty frustrating as I ended up spending a lot of time on my back-side! The downhill sections were impossible in my running shoes and there were parts that I literally slid down the hill as it was faster and safer! Next year I will definitely invest in a pair of trail shoes if I am to do this race again.

I managed to overtake a few people in the final kilometre as it was a straight run on relatively dry ground. I passed a guy under the cargo net at the finish line and managed to sprint up the final ramp in one to cross the finish line in 19th place.

The race is billed as being '10km...and the rest' and eventually came in at just shy of 15k. My time of 1hr 42 minutes should show just how hard this race really was! Over the course of the race we climbed 608 metres and I managed an average pace of just under 7 minutes per kilometre. The after party was excellent and, with our generous allowance of sleeping bags, I had a nice cosy sleep in the tent afterwards. Excellent weekend!

76/365 A new Sunday morning route 12 miles by Big Kev

76/365 A new Sunday morning route 12 miles by Big Kev

Lucy had the choice of routes today, so it was lovely to explore somewhere different. It's a great route so have a look at the Garmin route. The weather was kind and the pace was perfect for having a chat and also for looking around at the surroundings. The only issue is a slight pull to a muscle in my lower left leg, but some icing, rest and a good roast lunch with some lovely company has helped it immensely. A few hours work to do before tomorrow and it will then have been a very productive weekend and I believe we will have accomplished all that we set out to achieve.

With a very busy week ahead some more constructive planning on when to run is required, but I am sure it will all get fitted in.

What a lovely run in the sunshine this morning. A quick drive down the road to the birthday girl's house for presents and balloons, well I had to blow the balloons up to the delight of Isla. Then after a good catch up chat it was time to be on the road before the rain. It's all up hill to home so I am very pleased with the time all considered.

Already looking forward to tomorrows 12 miler with Lucy. But first the rugby, come on England!

Jack: Day 266-268/365...Red Nose Day!

On Wednesday morning I was performing my standard 6:00am shuffle along the main road when I turned a corner to find a beautiful 4x4 up in flames! The car looked almost new and must have only been burning for a couple of minutes when I arrived on the scene. The flames must have been a  good 10ft high and the car was really going! It was fortunate that a car had pulled over at the time of my arrival and the driver called the fire brigade. I continued with my run and saw the flames being extinguished on my return.

Thursday's run was less dramatic and was a simple 5k along the road.

On Friday it was Comic Relief and I had a few things to organise in the morning for school. Namely a change of clothes as I was scheduled to receive a soaking in the 'sponge a teacher for charity' event. I took an absolute beasting (which was made worse by the fact that I forgot to take a change of shoes and so was in my socks). The first half a dozen buckets of warm water were absolutely fine, it was when a bucket of icy cold water appeared out of nowhere that I really got a shock. The load was emptied right over my head and the shock was incredible! Fortunately I managed to contain any expletives and the day ended with no real harm done. We raised a lot of money for charity and so it was all worth it in the end! This evening I had a gentle jog up to Wholefoods and then back to Morrison's in order to prepare a lunch for tomorrow's Deerstalker outing! Exciting times ahead!

After 74 days in and it's the first time I can remember actually being rained on for the entire run, how lucky has that been? Just the minimum 5k covered tonight and the first mile once again covered with Jess, not so certain she enjoyed the rain, but we definitely had a laugh.

The weekend is rushing up a warp speed and there is still so much to do and to be done! Rugby, house viewing, running, longer running, friends birthday celebrations, Sunday lunch with friends and much much more. Oh yeah, and its almost the end of the tax year, so some work will need to be done as well, good times.

72/365 GWR 8 Mile route by Big Kev at Garmin Connect - Details

A nice an relaxed club run to report on, as I have one eye on the challenge that is, the Forest of Dean Half Marathon. That said, with a bit of help and encouragement I was still able to push it along the Portway into a biting cold wind. It is so nice to do that, as Bridge Valley road appears on the horizon quicker than normal and then the ascent is over and done with before it plays on your mind too much.

It was also great to grab a pint and some food and catch up with friends while watching the football (wasn't really watching just being polite). The conversations on the run and at the club are all of a similar nature, with the spring marathon season upon us the questions normally lead to, what is your next big run and what time are you aiming for? Whilst these are predictable questions the avoidance techniques now applied to answering them are become far more sophisticated. The best example of this was to run into oncoming traffic to avoid answering! A little to cavalier for my liking.

Still planing for tomorrow has been organised and a lunch time run from the Gloucester office is on the cards.

With Katie home from Uni and also being Mothers Day a good bit of preparation was required prior to today's run. With the girls settled in front of the TV with Game of Thrones series 2 DVD's and the Pork join placed in the oven, I had an hour and half free.

With the Forest of Dean half in a couple of weeks, trail running was the plan. The plan was successful, a good amount of mud, grass and trails with the minimum of tarmac were found. It was great to be out, even it was a little on the chilly side. With 10.5 miles covered I was still able to make it back in time to make the gravy and dish up. In the interlude between episodes, Jess was able to make from scratch the most amazing lemon meringue pie, brilliant!

Nicky: Day 209 The Grizzly

Untitled by Nicky.C at Garmin Connect - Details

Was sort of looking forward to the race until I saw the weather forecast - rain & snow. The Grizzly is a 20mile isn mainly off road hilly muddy race. I have done it twice before with a previous PB of 4:53. Was hoping for anything under 5 hrs today due to my general fitness level & the soggy boggy muddy conditions that this race was going to have due to the dreadful weather of late.
First .6m is along the pebbly beach which totally saps any strength your legs may have, then followed by a couple of miles of hilly road, a thigh deep river crossing, more pebbles then the trails!  Plentiful & very very muddy. Some of the hills are steep which requires lots of hands on knee pushing followed by fabulous narrow muddy slippery lanes to negotiate - I love these! Have no fear running quickly down them but negotiating the pussy footers is interesting.  Had "the bog of doom" which is thigh deep mud followed by more very slippery hills, another 3/4 mile of pebbly beach hills before the final 2m of hilly roads. I LOVED IT! Finished in 4:05:58 despite the conditions & falling over twice.  Totally surpassed my expectations & I even completed a whole hour ahead of a couple of my running club pals who are usually quicker than me!
I feel great now! Prosecco slipping down easily.

A nice clear but fresh morning. Still no sign of spring unfortunately.  Hope it comes soon as some warmth will help loads on these early mornings.  Saved the run in 3 parts as worried about the battery dying with no log of the run. Very tired towards the end but luckily Dad came out with me for the last 3 miles and gave me a gel and some water which helped a lot.  Also sawa few people along the way - Cathy from Langport runners and John Cox and his girlfriend Lynne.  Always nice to see people - breaks up the run a bit.

Jack: Day 256/365...A long one!

Today I decided to set off and treat myself to the longest run of my challenge so far! I stuck some new music on my i-phone, pulled on my favourite running gear and left the flat to explore Glasgow.  I planned on doing a 16 mile run but had no real idea of a route. I knew that I wanted to take some of the route off-road in order to protect my knees and so headed straight for Pollock Park. I completed a nice lap of the park on the grass and then decided to head into town and along the river to see what I could find. I hit the Clyde at around the 12 km mark and so made my way along the riverside for a few kilometres. Once I hit the riverside museum I turned back and targeted Glasgow Green. From here I headed home with a short detour around Queen's Park to ensure I hit my desired mileage. The run was a good one although I the last couple of miles were a struggle. I managed to maintain a strong pace however and was pleased to complete the run in 1 hr 48 mins. This would put me on track for my sub-3 hr marathon come May. It's just the final 10 miles that I have to worry about now!

After a very late night a a relatively early morning, it has been difficult to get motivated today. However Tina gave me a swift talking to (thank you) and dropped me off at Ashton Court so I could start a run on the flat for a change. Ashton Court was surprisingly wet and therefore muddy, excellent! A loop around the top and then a short cut across the road and I was heading towards Abbots Leigh Pool and home. On reflection once I got out there I could have gone on for miles, but I will save them for tomorrow as the girls intend on a Game of Thrones TV marathon.

With a marathon on my mind, my thoughts go out to all those training for their spring marathon, as I know you will all be attempting your 20 miles (+) over the coming days, good luck and stay fit.

Day 233-244 by Sallycinn

A few runs to blog - my first ever Park Run and a business trip to Rome with some lovely runs. Really enjoying my running at the moment and I have a running holiday in Portugal in a week's time to look forward to. Horrah!!

My first ever Park Run in Ashton Court in Bristol. It's taken me two years to final have the courage to tackle the 1.5mile hill at the beginning of the course. Really enjoyed it and did it with a couple of pals - Joe and Liz. Now I've done it once, want to go back and improve time. I'll beat that hill!! :)

Day 236 - a run in Rome by Sallycinn at Garmin Connect - Details
Run around the Colosseum in Rome - amazing. Felt quite emotional seeing it for the first time knowing what went on in there.  A truely mesmerising place. Goes without saying that I loved this run. Met up with everyone at breakfast and they were impressed! :)

Photo: Early morning run round the colosseum

First mile was me and the rest I was sitting on the bus - forgot to switch it off!  On my way to Rome and very excited. Packed my running gear of course. :)

Untitled by AAllum20 at Garmin Connect - Details
Managed to get back to the gym for 45 mins at lunch time. Did 3 miles on the cross trainer (20.45), some weights for my arms and then 2 miles on the bike. Really need to go more often it's just finding the time. A steady trot around the block this evening as legs quite tired.

Keeping it short tonight as off to pick up Katie at the train station as she is home from Uni for the weekend. The trail run tonight was great around the woods as there wasn't anyone else out there.

Another short one tomorrow as  I am looking forward to a long run around the trails on Sunday, especially as its now only 3 weeks until the Forest of Dean half.

Not really a huge amount to say about the above runs. Generally my 2m Upton Loop apart from a couple of slightly longer runs around Knole, Langport & one in Cheltenham when I was away with work. At least the last few days have been dry, altho this evenings run I decided to do a short bit off road in my road shoes - hmmm! bad move!! Its still very muddy underfoot.

And another one gone...

Still doing minimums until the weather gets better. Just don't want to be outside in the morning. It's coming!

66/365 GWR to home, 4 mile 300 miles done by Big Kev at Garmin Connect - Details

A great milestone tonight 300 miles covered, I am especially pleased as I am not training for a marathon this year and yet the miles just keep on climbing at a surprising rate.

The weather was also surprisingly warm which is such a nice treat when running in the dark. The fund raising continues at a pace and I am looking forward to catching up with the area manager for Macmillan next week. Let's hope I am newsworthy enough for the masses and that the funds can keep on coming.

65/365 Traffic, accidents and crazy drivers by Big Kev

65/365 Traffic, accidents and crazy drivers by Big Kev at Garmin Connect - Details

What a crazy, bizarre evening, there was definitely something in the air tonight! it seemed that regardless of being 6"4' wear florescent clothing and in a group of 8 runners, it seemed that every car on the road decided to try and run me over. I have never experienced a night like it and when you are concentrating on keeping up with the group and the traffic, it's safe to say all of your conversational skills go out the window.

It was a relief to get back to the club, and for the first time for a long time I stayed for a pint and caught up properly with my friends. It's also good to sit still and let the legs recover this week. Still another milestone reached, 65 days done 300 to go.

Dissapointed that had to miss my Thursday running club session. Had someone coming to view the house so had to try and fit in a very short run. Felt good though and fitness definitely improving.

Another short run as things to do at home. I know I keep saying it but can't wait for the lighter nights/better weather. Fog was so thick this evening was difficult to see where you were going.

Karl - Day 328

15.5km run with the club yesterday evening.
Had some shorter runs over the course of the week but got a couple of lovely bike rides in the Scottish Borders at the weekend.
Just over a month left on the challenge now.

Karen - A bid farewell

Unfortunately I have to gracefully back out of the challenge after 131 days. Good luck to everyone still going!

Waiting for Old Man Winter to get out of here.

Still trying to get over some kind of funk that I have had in my sinuses and lungs for about 3 weeks - looking forward to spring!

64/365 Shorts and T-shirt by Big Kev 5K

64/365 Shorts and Tshirt by Big Kev at Garmin Connect - Details

What a pleasure to be out in the daylight again and with such warmth, have we come out of the ice age???? Alright a bit too excited, but running in shorts and a T-shirt is so nice, I almost remember the summer! Jess continues to join me for the first mile and then I finish the last 2 and a bit on my own.

Just checked the mileage for last week and 39 miles covered, now considering I am not traing for a full marathon it still surprises me how quick the miles keep coming.

Now I have an evening of research and emails to work through and intend to sit at the kitchen table with some music on and possibly even a beer!

I had a wonderful surprise in the post today, a very kind client has sent me a cheque for £250 to go towards my fund raising for Macmillan. The total keeps rising and my faith in humanity continues to be restored.

With a busy day on the cards and the evening set aside for scuba training an early run was required, while nice to be out in the morning the temperatures are still on the chilly side. A simple 5k the Ashton court and back was all that was required this morning and not a lot of effort was put in.

Bring on work today as we are entering a busy run up to the end of the tax year and then I have a classroom full of new scuba students tonight. Looking forward to it all.

Club run this morning aiming for 16 with Emily, Colin, Roland and Sorrel decided after a few miles that I was not going to make it so Sorrell and I let the fasties go and we did a nice 13 mile loop around Somerton, Long Sutton back to Langport. It was a nice dry but icy morning so hoping next week for an off roader.

Feeling better today so went out to try for 11 miles to keep my averages up, didn't quite make it, guess these flu bugs last a little longer and take a bit more out of you than you think. Anyway pleased with 8.6 it was a cold morning but I did enjoy the run.

Again I run from Glastonbury 11 miles but today the weather was better but my legs are beginning to feel heavy with all the training so this is making some runs tough but as a 365 challenger I keep going no  achey legs or shocks to the heart from my ICD or heart ops will stop me. With 105 days to go I must say that I thought I wouldn't make it this far let alone achieve what I have done so far and how my training has improved and to get a place in the London marathon is so cool I'm so pleased that I'm going to the big smoke to run one of the worlds most famous marathons with 40,000 runners and half a million spectators and a worldwide tv audience of millions...No pressure !!! I know I'll be fine as this time it's not the Cheddar marathon ! That was hilly

Leg is better again this morning

Very relieved that I don't have to let this leg heal and then start over. Living the dream!

Question about posting?

I have Garmin fit app on my IPhone I also have the Blogger app. When I try to forward my activitys my phone only offers me the choice of Facebook, Twitter, Email, Or Message. A friend of mine has a droid phone and it allows him to share directly with Blogger, is there something I can download or a setting I can change to fix this problem? Any help would be appreciated!
