Weather in Somerset has been chilly & murky all day. Doesnt it really annoy you when the radio 2 guys keep going on about the stunning hot & sunny weather when you are sat with the heating on, jeans & sweat-shirt! Still, I was rewarded when the sun eventually appeared at around 3pm! Did a couple of hours gardening - amazing how the weeds take over when you are away on holiday! When Alfie got back from his day in Birmingham we popped out to do a slow 3.5miler. Lovely warm evening. Trotted down to Knole & instead of the out & back decided to do the loop around the knole for a change. With all this glorious sunshine this week we expected the trail to have dried out but it did get so muddy at one point that we turned around & crossed a very over grown foot path to head home across the fields. Very peaty around here so I had to spend some time scrubbing our shoes before running them thro the washing machine!!!
All very pleasant though.
