Ben Day35/365 Garmin
Couldn't face going on the cycle path again (wife working until late in Birmingham - giving a kid a new kidney - plumbing one in, not donating one that is!) - so a quick dull dash out to the next village and back.
Can taoday really only be 5 weeks? it feels like an age since I started this run back in Indy!
Nothing exciting to report about the run (cold, but dry clear skies), but today was fun - I started mentoring the head of public fundraising for Sendacow (Nicky knows they also send pigs and chickens - she's promised to buy 4 chickens for me for xmas!) - we work with a partner organisation Heifer International of theirs, and our company is pretty keen to ensure all employees get to emrbace the corporate social responsibility wave so we each get 2 days a year to do CSR stuff (a great thing) - which means I get to work with this great charity that happens to be headquartered in Bath (Marg - it was set up 25 years ago by a bunch of dairy farmers in the Bristol/Bath area who were all friends and wanted to do something meaningful)

Did I actually mention chickens? Young man?
ReplyDeleteThat is a great story Ben and fits so well with Heifer.
ReplyDeleteNicky, he has quite a way for getting things to happen...doesn't he!!
