Day 26 and I reckon that was the worst run of my life!
I am stuffed full of the cold and every muscle and joint in my body aches like hell. As you can imagine I wasn't looking forward to todays run but I knew I had to grin and bare the pain and just get out on the roads and do it. I changed my lunch time route so it would be as short as possible but still more than my 5k.
I've got a really bad chest cold and I struggled to breathe properly during my run and it felt like I had something stuck in the back of my throat that kept making we wretch and cough even more. I was never more pleased than when I finished the run but it seemed to take an eternity to get my breathing back to a normal rhythm.
I wonder what wonders tomorrow will bring and I so hope that this chest cold lifts a bit before then.
The details of my run can be found at Day 26/365 challenge
Please keep on running Charles! You can do it!!!
ReplyDeleteI can relate although mine did not get down onto my chest (yet). Running while feverish seems like the craziest thing. I hope all you really experienced runners are right about soldiering on!!
ReplyDeleteThanks guys and I will definetly keep on running Tony. I've even done day 27 but won't post a blog until tomorrow because I'm at my dads and can't upload my watch details to garmin connect
