a few days late updating the blog - last few days just whizzing by. Friends over for dinner this evening, I was cooking a cracking coq au riesling, right up until I reached into the fridge and used a 5 week-out of date double cream with which to make the sauce... I'd bought a new pot, but unbeknownst to me, the fridge cleaning fairies hadn't removed the old one (wife!)... it was one of those Bridget Jones blue soup moments... managed to cobble something together, but dinner was ruined! argh!
legs felt sore today after Sunday's exertions. Delighted with my place 28/137, now if I could only sort the hills!! Will keep my eyes open for off-road races around these 'ere parts to keep the interest going..
