Charles: Day 359 & 360/365 - The dark nights are here
Day 359 was out with the running group where I would make them go slow and punish them with a fast pace. I had cramp in my calf muscle from the offset but it eased off after 6k.
Day 360 was a bog standard slow run to Michelle's work in the cold and dark with a bit of rain. Felt heavy legged and really tired.

Pete Day 122 - New 4 miler and one third down by Pljrun
Tried a new four miler today, at home wife sitting so took time out, nice run to Pitney and back. That's one third of the challenge done and the hardest two to go. Don't mind the rain or the cold but hate the wind and we get our fair share on the levels, so starting to plan my sheltered routes in preparation. Today was one of them and should be ok.

Were meeting friends for dinner & staying over in the Bath Arms pub near Longleat. Decided to arrive a little early in order to get a different run in. Making an effort now to avoid Upton Loop & Knole Rd whenever possible! Found a lovely 3m circuit from the pub through the village, over a rather high gate and into the grounds of Longleat (no lions thankfully) and onto some lovely footpaths. Also stunning views over the estate. Not sure if we should really have been in there but they were on public footpaths - a local dog walker told us to climb over said gate!
Even Alf enjoyed the trails & mud & now has trail running shoes on his Christmas list - will convert him from golf back to running one day!! ;)

Data Dilemma
Folks, I have a serious data dilemma. On Sunday I ran 60k (Jedburgh Ultra Marathon). Somewhere between the end of the run and the next morning my Garmin 310XT performed some sort of magic that made all the data of that run go away. It is not to be found in the history of the Garmin nor has it ever transferred over to Garmin Connect or Training Center.
I do have a day missing in August where the data just wouldn't transfer but it had been on the watch. Based on the rules of the challenge I believe that an unrecorded would constitute a requirement to restart.
From what I can gather I may have exhausted the options of retrieving the file for the 60k run.
Your comments would be much appreciated. Strangely as I was about to quite the challenge a few days ago due to my foot hurting and this looks like an opportune exit route, it actually makes me not want to stop.
Should possibly add that I ran the 60k in 6:12 hrs and finish in 5th place which I was very chuffed with.

A cold morning and only 160 ish runners as today is the great south run but i dont mind a small field. I felt nervous as this was the first event I was doing after my heart shock thing. I made sure i was mentally ready and checked my HR at each mile mark but at 2 miles my shins
went tight this soon went when i sped up a bit and found a lovely hill at five miles but as i got too 6 miles I was in the swing of it. I caught up to a chap called Brian who was aiming for a sub 2 hours, told him on current pace we will be about 1:50 so we kept each other in good spirits as we smashed through each mile till we got to the finish. Brian got his Pb and I got my Pb 1:51:41.
We were both over the moon

Pete Day 120 - Long Sunday run by Pljrun
Went down to the club this morning, no one there so decided to go for a 13/14 miler. So went off to Long Sutton, Somerton and then back to Langport via Pitney. Only problem it was cold and very, very wet but I don' mind that. The only problem was when I got to Somerton I had a very cold headwind to run into for the last 4 miles. Boy was I cold, even my hands with gloves on were freezing. Forgot what winter was like, roll on spring !!!

Charles: Day 358/365 - Jedburgh 10k
Jedburgh Running Festival - Probably my most favourite running event of the year
The route is a really hilly and tough course but I love the atmosphere and the drive down to the place and the drive home again through some fantastic scenery and colours on the trees.
The run didn't go as planned as I managed to get a really painful groin strain on the short walk to registration and then I got cramp in my calf muscle about 3k into the run. To top it off at about 8k, the glute muscle of my left bum cheek tightened up and started to spasm. It was a tough painful run but I still love this event and I'll be back next year.

Went down to Salisbury half marathon today to help with registration and marshalling. Planned to do my run in between the runners starting and having to be at my marshal point at mile 12, but a last minute change of marshal point changed my plans! Had a roast dinner after the event so had to wait a few hours before feeling anywhere near ready to run! Wet and cold tonight but did not mind the run. Hope the enthusiasm stays with me for a long while yet!!

Pleasant little trot around one of my boring old 2m routes.

Jack: Day 130/365
As the clocks went back last night I really enjoyed my extra hour in bed this morning! I have started watching Mad Men and am just getting stuck into season 2 so I had a nice lazy morning watching an episode on my laptop with a coffee before heading out into the rain for my run. Fortunately it was only a light drizzle so it didn't really affect me too much. I have had worse! I decided to head back to the park and try a few different paths to see what I was missing. I decided to abandon my usual anti-clockwise loop in favour of a clockwise start and soon found myself at the bottom of a very large hill with plenty of steps leading up to the flagpole in the centre of the park. Unable to resist the challenge (and the opportunity to pretend that I was Rocky Balboa!) I decided to tackle it. This section of the run was pretty tough and I am going to try to incorporate it into a larger 'hills' session which I might start attempting once a week to give the runs a bit of variety. The good thing about running in the park is that I know it is exactly one kilometre from my front door. This means that once I hit the park I can simply make up my run as I go and I know that as long as I don't leave before the Garmin hits 4km I will be able to make it a nice 5km. This afternoon I am off to a 'gin-tasting' session which should be interesting. A combination of gin cocktails and afternoon tea sounds ace and will be a nice way to end the weekend. I think it was a good idea to get the run completed this morning!

Jack: Day 129/365
A slightly hungover morning today and what better cure than a 5k jog around a cold park on a frosty morning! It was a beautiful morning in the park and I pretty much had the place to myself. I decided to take a different route to normal around the park and instead headed through it's centre and up to the top of the hill. The detour was well worth it and I got some stunning views of Glasgow. The run was about 5.5km and I took my time over it as I took some pictures and enjoyed the scenery...the hangover probably contributed to the slower pace also! All in all a great run and now I am heading out for a well deserved lunch at 'house for an art lover'. Should be good!

Jack: Day 128/365...A jolly jog!
After school today I went straight to a friends house who I worked with whilst on my student placement at a school last year. Over the course of the evening I got loads of great advice, plenty of useful of resources and a little bit drunk. As I stumbled into my flat I remembered that I still needed to go and complete my 5k for the day and so threw on my running gear and realised that my Garmin wasn't charged! Another chance for my mobile app to shine. I went out and did the same route that I have done dozens of times now out towards Giffnock and back but I added in an extra little trip to Morrisons as I was desperate for some sort of junk food. Finally with a pizza in my bag I made my way home feeling absolutely rotten! I will be sure not to leave my run until late in the day if there is ever the possibility of wine happening beforehand! I had a few issues with the mobile app this time round as it seemed to get a bit trigger happy with the kilometre splits. It is a route which I have done many times and I know to be about 5.5km however I was told that I was running at a pace of 55km/hour! This meant that it recorded my distance as just over 9km. I don't think I will be using the app again as I don't want to risk not making the 5km target due to inaccurate measu128rements. Fortunately I know the route well and it has tracked it on Google maps so it can be measured accurately through that.

Jack: Day 127/365...Same old Giffnock route
Another easy 5k out and back to Giffnock. I have been doing this run a lot lately but it is quite a nice one. Not bored of it yet. I quite like it as an evening option as it is well lit and there is no chance of getting lost as it is straight up the main road and back! I am sure over the next few months with it getting dark earlier every day I will be using this route even more. It may be fairly repetitive but it gets the job done!

Karl: Day 197/365
Well for now, I am still here.
Had a sports massage this morning and the masseur was confused as to what the foot problem could be but suggested that shoes may be the issue. I have now tried something out and will see if it works. I was given a pair of insoles 2.5 years ago from a podiatrist. I will use them again and see if the extra support will help. I did lap on grass in the park today.

Karl: Day 195&196/365 - The end?
Hi folks I am seriously considering taking a break from the challenge and maybe restarting at a new date.
For at least 2 months now I have been labouring with a foot problem and nothing I do seems to make it go away. In recent days it has been getting progressively worse. Longer runs are better - I didn't have a problem at all during the River Ayr Challenge 40 miler, it wasn't great though during the recent Pentland Skyline. I have three ultra marathons coming up and don't feel my foot is in a good place to cope with them. If nothing else it needs some rest.
Happy for you to advise me in some way as to how to keep the challenge alive but at the moment giving it a break sounds like the right thing to do. It appears that the issue with the foot has moved up into my back which really isn't helping. Admittedly, I haven't been to a physio yet but am trying to save my pennies tbh.
Anyway, moan over for now. Decision will be made tomorrow - either I will or won't have run. If I did, decision has been moved on another day.
Here are my latest 2 runs:
7k to and from a club coaching session yesterday: I was going to join in the club run but thought better of it with the foot issue.
Just over 5k today to meet a new client and drop off an invoice.
Karen - Day 2/365
Quick run before work this morning. T'was still dark so avoided yesterdays park route and stuck to street lit paths. Slower pace than yesterday as I was still half asleep! Very pleased that I had done a morning run when I got home late from work!

Charles: Day 354/365 - Home made soup, not a good idea
A bog standard 5k minimum distance run to Michelle's work.
I did the stupid thing of eating 2 large bowls of home made vegetable soup about 30 minutes before I went for a run. Not a good idea because I felt totally bloated and could feel it jiggling around in my belly. Won't be doing that again lol

Jack: Day 125/365...Near miss!
After nailing a bleep test at CrossFit this morning (level 14.5) I had a long day at school which meant I didn't get home till half seven. Once in the door I just wanted to get the run over and done with and so threw my gear on ready to go before I realised that I could not find my Garmin! Disaster! I had left it at the gym in the morning and wouldn't be able to get it for my evenings run! After a few minutes of panic I managed to find an App on my phone which would map the GPS and so I loaded it up and popped out for a slow 5k.

Karen - Day 1/365
Hello to all 365 challenge runners - well day 1 was all about getting my minimum distance route sorted and working out how the new garmin forerunner 10 works (very simple actually!). Found an easy route just over a mile that I'm sure will become my new best friend. Keen to avoid shin splints after a long break from running so just aiming for the minimum distance for a few weeks to get into it! Now to work out the Garmin connect site... wish me luck!

Charles: Day 352 & 353/365 - Speed work works!
Day 352 run was with the running club and it was great fun. I made them do a bit of speed work followed by slow recovery runs and then a bit of hill work. They were all knackered but it was a great nights running.
Day 353 was just a bog standard 5k(ish) run in the drizzle. Felt pretty good if not a little heavy legged after the previous 2 days efforts.

Jack: Day 124/365
This evening I saved the run for when I got home from school. I was absolutely shattered when I first came in the door but decided to head straight out so that I wouldn't get too comfortable. For the run itself I stuck to the simple 5k Giffnock out and back route. Nice and straightforward.

Pete Days 110 - 113 Catch up time again by Pljrun
Missed club run this morning, a very late return from Surrey and horrendous driving conditions meant I was very tired and slept in !! Not often I do that these days, so went for a mid afternoon 7.5 mile road run around Long Sutton and Pitney, pleasant in the sun, Bleeding cold out of it. Winters on it's way, wonder how the enthusiasm will hold up when it's cold, wet, windy and miserable? Soon find out me thinks.

Marg: Day 347/365 Challenge - Wintergreen Lane.
Bit stiff after yesterday's 10 miler but it was a glorious autumn day and nice to be out in it in the late afternoon on a new route (just over 3 miles) down Wintergreen Lane. Very nice. So hard to believe that I only have 19 days to go. Thinking about trying to get 1200 miles completed but it might be a bit tough, as I have nearly 86 miles yet to do... We will see.

British Heart Foundation Winter Warmer 10k. Two laps of Arthur's Seat which means a 600 feet climb over a short distance of 2 miles on each lap. Tough event but great fun as the people taking part were there to enjoy it and were laughing and supporting each other. Makes a change from the usual crap on some of the events :)

Nicky: Day 69 Exmoor Stagger
Nicky: Day 69 Exmoor Stagger by knickerscat at Garmin Connect - Details
Having lived in the area for 13 years, this is the first time I have actually done this trail race. Was pretty excited (why?) about today.
Got picked up at 08:30 for the drive over to Minehead. Cup of tea & chat with our other club runners.
Race started at 11:00. Felt fine - steady pace for most of the first 3m (well the bits that were not up hill anyway). Race then split into the 16m Stagger & 6m Stumble.
Had a long steep down hill (not nice knowing that 3m from the end we would be coming up this beast!!). Very muddy & a bit slippery in places.
Then a 3ish mile drag up to the top of Dunkery Beacon (highest point on Exmoor). Not toooooo steep but constant & very very rocky which was pretty tough under foot. This was followed by a steep rocky muddy down before hitting a very pleasant undulating trail for 4ish miles. Through a couple of streams which temporarily washed the mud from my once clean shoes!
Hit the beastish hill & crawled up - had to keep stopping for a breather. I am too old for this game (thats my exscuse anyway :)!! From the top of the nasty hill it was a lovely 2m down hill through the trees to the finish. Quads burning like hell so think I am going to be a bit stiff tomorrow. Going to give speed training a miss Monday night.
Shame about the constant fog as we couldnt see any of the apparently lovely views over the moor & Bristol channel to Wales. Maybe a good think I also couldnt see the tops of the hills.
6 of us from our club did the Stagger and finished within 17mins of each other - pretty good!!

Jack: Day 123/365...Frosty morning in the park.
Today I got up and went straight out for my run. I did a nice loop of Queens Park which I haven't done for a while. The park was pretty empty other than a few other joggers and a couple of dogs and it was nice to be running in the daytime for a change. The run itself wasn't too taxing and I enjoyed the gentle jog listening to the radio. Now that the run is out of the way I can enjoy the rest of the day without having to worry about it. I am off to the cinema later and then have a full afternoon of lesson planning in preparation for school starting back next week! Half term was nice while it lasted!

Jack: Day 122/365...1/3 of the way!
Well today marks my passing of the first third of the challenge and, whilst I am aware that it is probably going to be the easiest section of the year, it is satisfying nonetheless. As I have been enjoying my half term break today was a day for catching up on marking and lesson prep. This meant that the majority of my day was spent reading countless essays about assassins before trying to plan a course of lessons on Catherine MacPhail's book 'Tribes'.
A while back on this blog we were discussing what everyone was reading at that moment in time. My period without internet access has meant that since I last commented on this I have finished the Game of Thrones books (well those which have been published so far!) and am eagerly awaiting the final book to be released. In the meantime I have read a couple of awesome novels 'Snowdrops' and 'A sense of an ending' which were winner and runner up in the Booker Prize last year. I am currently reading 'Bounce' by Matthew Syed. It is a fascinating exploration into the 'myth of talent' and suggests that there is no such thing as having 'natural ability'. The first section focuses on the idea that it takes 10,000 hours of purposeful practice to become an 'expert' in a field. I wonder how many 365challenges I would have to complete to become an expert 5k runner...
This evening's run was another simple out and back towards Greenock. It is not the most exciting run in the world but I quite like it in the evening as it is easy to navigate, well lit and is a gentle downhill all the way home! At least it was dry tonight!

Charles: Day 348 to 350/365 - Just the usual with a midnight walloper
Day 348 was one of my short and easy 5k routes as I was getting a lift home by Michelle after she finished work. It was then time for a quick dash home for a wash and change to go for a bite to eat to take my step-son Nathan out for a Birthday dinner.
Day 349 & 350 were my midnight runs at my dads home in Fife. Busy day on Saturday and want maximum recovery time before the British Heart Foundation Winter Warmer 10k on Sunday. It's gonna be a killer run (hopefully not litteraly) because it's 2 laps of the infamous Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh - 2 x 5km laps = 7km on massive killer hill!!

Jack: Day 118-119/365...Winter is coming!
Winter is definitely on it's way! Today's run was the wettest of the challenge so far. Both runs in this post were to and from the CrossFit box. The rain was pouring down and the temperature is dropping rapidly which is slightly intimidating as I approach the next stage of the challenge! I am now almost a third of the way through and am very much aware that the third which I have completed is possibly the easiest with regards to weather. The last couple of weeks have been pleasant enough as the trees changing colour has added some much needed character to the runs which were getting a bit monotonous. It won't be long however before the red and gold trees are replaced with bare branches and snow!
Charles: Day 347/365 - It was frigging raining AGAIN!!!!
Same run as yesterday but in the pissing rain and freezing cold. Time to dig the winter gear out. Oh, and most of the street lights hadn't been switched on so it was dark but thankfully I had an old cheap head torch with me.

Karl Day 188/365
Went a bit longer today: 7.3 km in a slow 45 min. Legs felt just as achy as yesterday from Sunday's race but running on them wasn't too bad as long as it wasn't downhill. Most of the pain created was from the descents and the actual running muscles (calves, glutes, hips) have little to complain about. Maybe back to normal tomorrow.

My other boring running route! Felt sluggish - think its out of boredom of my 2 common old routes. Must get A into G again & take running kit to work & stop on the way home for some variety. Always did this when I first started the challenge. Think though with the rubbish summer, muddy ground I gave up to stick to well known tarmacced routes.

Jack: Days 101-117/365
These are the most recent couple of weeks worth of runs. From now on I should be able to keep things up to date as I have a temporary internet connection in the flat! A lot of these runs were steady 5k jogs towards Giffnock as I discovered that by simply turning 'left' out of my road instead of 'right' there are a couple of nice runs to be had! Variety is the spice of life and all that!

Jack: Day 81-100/365
Still more catching up!! Again the majority of these runs took place around Shawlands. I had a weekend in London also thrown in as I had a long weekend at work. During this weekend I took part in the Riddlesdown Parkrun and managed to score myself a new 5k pb and a first ever sub 17minute 5k. Really chuffed with it and hope to continue to see these improvements as the year progresses! On day 100 I had a track session with the CrossFit guys. We worked on 200m sprints, performing 10 reps with a 200m jog between each. I hit every one on 27seconds which I was really pleased with. My 400m time was 57seconds which again I was happy with.

Here are another load of runs from my period of having no internet! Again the majority of these took place around Shawlands with a few hill sessions thrown in around my block. A rather unpleasant 3.25km. DOMS from Sunday's Pentland Skyline really kicked in today and I did get some sort of run form going. Ran to the postbox on Gorgie road then up to Slateford road and round to end up at Sainsburys for some dinner shopping.

Jack: Day 40-60/365 Shawlands Running
These were a selection of runs that I did in the local area surrounding my new flat. I mainly used Queens Park for the 5k's as it is only a kilometre from my new place and was thus easy to get to and didn't require too much in the way of navigation! A few of the runs were also my route to and from CrossFit Glasgow which works out at approximately 4km from the new flat!

Days 116-119 were just my runs back from work but have been feeling tired as I have been having trouble sleeping since wednesday.
Day 120 was supposed to be a 10 mile to get ready for the half marathon but i decided to tackle that next tuesday.
ps The doctors have cleared me to run as it was my implant not the speed of my run what caused the problem but now it has been re adjusted so im now run fit

Charles: Day 345/365 - Great club run
Running club tonight and it was great fun in the cold. It was a mixed ability group so we split the faster runners (which I was to lead) into one group and then sent them on a different route that met up with the other runners. We then played catch up to pass the slower runners and then doubled back at each junction to run back towards the slower runners until they all passed us and then we ran to pass them all again and then repeat it all over at the next junction. Great fun even though it was rather hilly :)

Ran leg 1 of this years Parrett Trail relay which goes from Steart Point to Wynyards Gap in 6 relay legs. Started at 0935 and within 1 mile could hardly breathe, took in a couple of deep breaths of very cold air and felt like my lungs where on fire ! that took the wind out of me and made the rest of the race very uncomfortable. Ended up not too well for the rest of the day. Shame because I really love that run along the river.

Karl: Day 183&184/365
Half Way and beyond.
The run to take me through half was nothing special, just an easy 3k. Foot didn't feel great but continuing with my remedial work.
Day 183/365
This afternoon I ran back from Leith to Gorgie. 7.5km, foot feels a bit better today. I feel I need to open my stride length and run stronger for it to feel better. There has been too much shuffleing. Stretching has helped a lot.
Day 184/365
I have the Pentland Skyline race tomorrow - a 25k hill run.

Day 2 of our regional meeting at Heathrow today. Due to finish at 4:30 so I had planned to whizz back to Somerset to take part in the Street 5k winter series. My boss did has usual trick & ran way over so I didnt actually leave til 5:30. Sped back but would have missed the start of the race. Gutted. Although, with Robbo's issues at the race, maybe it was a good thing! My nursing skills are not what they used to be.
Got home so had to pop out & do my own wee run - legs still a little stiff from Sundays half mara.

Ran early this morning but after running last night, amazing how the legs feel it! Sluggish & tough this morning. Going to take it easy for the next week as I want to do the Exmoor Stagger next week.

Regional meeting near Heathrow for 2 day. Popped out for my usual venue 3.5miler but the underpass we usually use was knee deep in water. This extened the run to 4.8m which was fine. Ran with a colleague who enjoys our little running soirees when we get together.
Scenary awful, pavements full of litter & dog poo. Paths alongside the roads are chocca with cars. Always good to get back to rural Somerset!

Charles: Day 342 & 343/365 - Midnight Shuffle
These 2 runs were part of my now infamous midnight runs so that I could get them out of the way and have the whole of Saturday to myself and sit down and watch the boxing on tv (Harrison v Pryce) without worrying about having to go for a run. I enjoyed the runs tonight and felt fairly strong but deliberately kept the pace very slow so that I could play around with different stride patterns to try and lengthen my stride without using any more energy. Getting there but need a bit more practice to stop me falling back to my old bad practices.

Jack: Day 114/365...Back online (sort of!)
After the BT engineer failed to turn up yet again to my flat ( the third appointment they haven't turned up for!) I have decided to accept that the internet is going to be a long time coming and so am going to have to make do with what I can get and upload what I can. As I have not uploaded the last few months worth of data I will be doing this over the next couple of weeks. I have been running every day and have kept all of my Garmin records so will catch up with the blog eventually! The weather is really starting to affect the runs now as the evening runs are done in darkness and the morning runs are getting frosty! I have had to start running with my hat which is always a sign that things are getting chilly! I haven't raced for a couple of weeks but am looking into a couple of possibilities coming up. This evening I did ran 8km (to CrossFit and back) and felt good. I discovered an old 'Athlete' album which was nice easy listening for a gently run in the early evening. Most of my runs recently have been accompanied by some old Public Enemy tracks which have helped increase the tempo when I have been slacking. I have also formed a running club at school now which is proving popular. We are getting around 25 kids a week turning up to train which is great and are currently looking into affiliating to Scottish Athletics. I learnt last week that my London Marathon application was unsuccessful this year however I think I am going to take up my unfinished business with Edinburgh in an attempt to finally go sub 3hrs.
It's good to be back on the blog!
Pete Day 104 - 3 mile lunchtime run between the rain
Lunchtime 3 miler keeping to the main road route, the other way is still flooded and after the deluges of this morning will be so even more. Just managed to get back before the rain persisted down, again.

Day 114/365 I crashed to the ground by robgundry at Garmin Connect - Details
Untitled by robgundry at Garmin Connect - Details
Well it's the first race of the street 5k winter series. A good number of club runners had turned out tonight which proved to be lucky for me.
I started of at a good pace and held it well keeping an eye on my heart rate twice a lap but just before the final corner before the finish I started to feel tightening in my chest so I checked my hr and saw it was 187bpm so I slowed down and dropped my hr to178 bpm but I still felt the pain. As I was getting near to 10 meters to the line I saw Brett start clapping and BANG my ICD had fired a shock to my heart and I can remember seeing Brett before I feel forward onto my right shoulder and I can remember thinking 'oh fuck is this it ' then crash I hit the road from being knocked from the force of the shock. As I rolled onto my back a rather nice lady and Brett and a few others rushed over to me and I said I had a shock from my defibrillator and to call an ambulance, which they did. But then I had a second shock and I was encouraged to breath slowly which lowered my heart rate. This was all happening while the rest of the field were still running . Luckily I'm ok now and I'm still in the challenge.
I would like to thank everybody who helped me from Brett and the club home members from various clubs to the ambulance crew who got me to hospital with the blues and twos on. I'm so glad that I have such good friends and support because with out any of that it wouldn't be much fun.
Before I sign off I want to say as I write this I'm having flashbacks from the shock and hitting the ground and it hasn't changed my mind about running if anything it has driven me more to achieve my goal of completing this challenge.
Thankyou all

Karl Day 181/365
Thought I'd keep in track for a change. Today's run was down to Stewart Melville School to coach the club run session. I ran there and back and did the warm up with the group but sent them out on their own after that to protect my foot from running too fast. Hoping to run the Pentland Skyline at the weekend.
Think I have done some good remedial work today as the foot felt better to run on even though it wasn't pain free. Did a lot of stretching and foam roller massage incl. some areas that I hadn't worked before.

Charles: Day 340/365 - the final 25 days!
Another run to Michelle's work so that I could take the lazy option of getting a lift home because my legs are heavy and I felt every strike of the feet on the ground shudder up my legs. Never mine, only 25 days to go on this 365 and then I'll re-assess my minimum distance before the next 365 :))

Karl - Days 131-180/365
I am back or should I say still here. If I am going to keep up with this blog then I'll have to do it daily otherwise I just don't do it at all.
Nearly half way but a lot of it has been a struggle as I have been labouring with an issue with my left foot for nearly 2 months and it seems to be moving around. So I have been doing a lot of 3k minimum runs. I did get the River Ayr Challenge done and as you can see from my race report with a surprisingly good result. Also to my surprise, the foot wasn't an issue.
To foot continues to bother me and has led me numerous times to want to stop the challenge to let it sort itself out but then it seems to get better so fingers crossed this may still happen.
Back tomorrow hopefully.
