When to start fundraising?

I am doing this challenge for a charity and was wondering if anyone else is doing the same? How far in to it do you think it is sensible to start fundraising?

    I raise money for 2 charities - Maggies Centres and Funding Neuro

    I've raised about £1600 during my first go of the challenge and will continue to raise money this time round as well

    I managed to collect most of the money after I'd past the 200 day mark
