Bit of a weird one yesterday and today.. right ankle as stiff as a board and try as I might it would not loosen up before last nights run - had to leave it late since I'd not had the opportunity to go for a run until after Scouts... spent about 10 minutes on ankle rotations before running (yawn) but it did absolutely nothing... limping the whole way.. and to make things more lively there was def something gastric going on - stomach had been gurgling all afternoon and I was keen to get to the porcelain immediately afterwards so had to cut the run short in fear of soiling myself!
Woke up this morning (Ollie's 7th birthday - love you son!) feeling decidedly unwell... a stove-top coffeee did not help in hindsight... thought I was going to barf over his birthday presents! - spent the whole day in a bit of a mess with repeated trips to the john - felt washed out to say the least.. had to sack it at lunchtime and just go to bed for about 4 hours and ride the intestinal writhing..
quite an interesting one.. wife dropped son at a friends party on Sunday... friends little brother had some gastric thing going on - mother decides to hold party anyway... Anusha has been soldiering on these last few days with "digestive confusion" subsequently .. her boss get's sick yesterday.... as a consequence they have to bump the transplant of a kidney into a kid from a dad that both of which have flown in from "Las Malvinas" to have - because the operating team are unwell! talk about laws of unintended consequences... funny thing was Ollie only went to the latter half of the party since the rest of them were watching Tintin the movie for the first half and he doesn't like gunfire/scared... poor Anusha, her boss and now me get a good dose of the squits and some poor kid gets a delayed transplant as a consequence... anyway, by this evening I'd bounced back and even listened to a podcast from Sir Ken Robinson on my run.. what a geezer! Phew!
