Pete Days 342 to 344 - Walking festival weekend follow and de rig by pljrun

Langport two day walking festival weekend so Friday was rig route day so had an early morning 3.1 miler round Bowdens before setting off around the area putting up signs.
Saturday and a 5am start to go and mark the rest of today's route, went off at about 1pm to follow the walkers and derig the route as I run removing the red and blue tape from the gates and styles. It was really warm and after running 16.8 miles I was pretty worn out, this off road running through thigh high grass and nettles is hard going.
Sundays run was going to be easier as Neal and Di where going to do most of it, but I ended up trying to find a couple of lost walkers, found them in the end miles from where they should have been so ended up with less miles than I wanted, but glad after yesterdays sun stroke efforts !!  Really enjoyed running in places we don't usually get a chance to cover, the views over Somerset from Compton Dundon beacon are stunning, well worth a trip to the top.
