152/365 A blast along the riverbank 5 miles by Big Kev
Following a slower start to the morning Parkrun was off the cards today, so I am left to my own devices.
The sun and temperature was climbing I had therefore decided to run the loop through Leigh woods and along the riverbank, then back through Ham green to Abbots Leigh and home.
Because I had missed Parkrun this morning I did also crank up the speed to make amends, so the 5 miles were covered not flat out, but at a good gallop. Considering the 700ft of ascent and descent I am very pleased with the average 6:45 mile pace.
With the Welsh Castles relay now on the horizon (next weekend) I think a longer run tomorrow is what is needed, at a slower pace though.
