135/365 GWR Summer 6 mile group by Big Kev
Well it's Wednesday again and it was another lovely evening spent in the company of friends on the summer 6 mile route. Tonight we were joined by some new recruits to the club and Bristol in general, so they were all pleasantly surprised by the number of historic landmarks that can be covered in 3 miles out and 3 miles back to the club. The weather turned out for the better after all the wetness of yesterday, so the views from the top of Ashton Court across to Bath we spectacularly clear.
In catching up with friends, it was great to have Ian back running after his issues with shin splints and also to have the time to catch up with Emma following her mammoth achievement on the Exmoor coastal trail marathon. So to hear the news that Nick has finally got his knee op date (next Friday) topped off a good evening.
That said, Katie had decided that it was her turn to buy take out (feeling flush from all the tips) and I had been tasked with getting it, so no food and drink at the club tonight. Instead I had a smiley happy family on the door step welcoming me back home from the Chinese take out! A night of giggles then ensued and all too quickly another day is over. Where has the week gone already.
