I have not been around Smokey Ridge for a while and it was great to see all the crab apples and cherries and magnolias in flower. The best tree of the spring so far, however is the native red bud. Very pretty. two days to spring break....but who is counting!

sounds great! cherry trees are just starting to blossom these last few weeks which is ace, but some neighbours have these small trees with small white, very delicate blossom on them. The trees are festooned with them, now I think about they might be apple trees!
