Due to experiencing a pain in the sole of my left foot I decided to take these runs all pretty easy and to take the distance back down to my minimum of 5km. The arrival of my new trainers meant that this was probably a good time to try a few short runs anyway. Each day that I went out my foot felt a little better and so I am hoping that, by taking things fairly easy over the next week, I should be able to get another long-ish run in at the weekend. I only have four weeks till my marathon now and so it is not worth risking anything serious happening. I know that my fitness is good just now and I am just working to maintain until race day.
