New years eve run, last run of the year. Was keen to see how the legs were feeling after the long ride the day before, and bingo.... heavy and lethargic! Stuck to the minimum distance nice and slowly but did feel better afterwards!

Happy new year! And what better way to start the year than with a race! An 'on the day' entry to the Chard 10k (thanks Jody and Claire!). The run went really well generally and a lovely scenic route, lots of hills and a particularly long uphill drag somewhere around mile 3-4. Had to hang on towards the end as hills are not really my thing, but pleased with the overall result. Need to learn to look out for signs more next time as I managed to go the wrong way twice but only lost 30 seconds or so.....
Today was the first day of my half marathon training plan, due to be a rest day but never mind!

30 mins of 'tempo' training scheduled for today. After looking on a few websites, still not exactly sure what tempo training is.... can anyone help?...

Scheduled rest day, so just the minimum. Out for a curry tonight so was thinking about food the whole way round!
