Three boring Giffnock loops. I have added in a couple of variations to some of these to try and increase the distance slightly. Today I was planning on going for a run with a local club but I have since found another which is even closer. The club meet twice a week at a point about 1.5miles from my flat so I should be able to run there before taking part in the session and then running home. This will help me to increase my mileage and also give me some variation and hopefully some motivation with my marathon training. Five months feels a long way off at the moment but I know that I need to start laying the ground work. Whilst my last marathon was 3hours and a few minutes I realise that I was training three times a week with a club and thus my training was structured and I was pushed. It will be hard to maintain this level of intensity without a helping hand and so hopefully a good club with a coach will be just what I need! My first session with the new club should be tomorrow evening and so we will see how I get on!
