Happy New Year everybody
Yip, I'm back on the challenge and today was my first run in anger for about 3 weeks and its amazing how much fitness you lose in such a short space of time. I struggled with heavy legs and a bouncing belly but I think that's down to all the chocolate and grub I've eaten lately.
This time around I've decided to drop my minimum distance to 3km.
Although I've set the 3k minimum I'm going try to keep up the 5km that I did first time around. The reason for dropping the min distance is because I want to do a couple of marathons this year and since I haven't done a marathon before, I'm just worried that the 5k will hinder my training by not giving me a decent recovery time between my long run days.

I agree with the loss of fitness, after such a short time!! HILLS......Argh.....!!! Nice to have another runner posting in the single figures of the challenge. With lots of the others on over 100 days, I feel a little behind!! Good luck!!

ReplyDeleteThis is my 2nd round of the challenge and completed 401 days first time around.
It's good to have someone on or around the sand number of days as you'll find we'll go through similar physical problems as time progresses and we'll be able to help each other through it :)
