60/365 A nice run with Jess (5k in total) by Big Kev at Garmin Connect - Details
So we have reached March and after a great breakfast meeting where coincidentally I met the area fundraising manager for Macmillan, Kate Oldham. I was able to leave work an hour early and went for a run, not only in the daylight, but also with Jess my daughter. She has been very helpful in this process and has said to me that she feels inspired enough to come and join me where possible and that she would like to complete her own personal challenge where she would run in total, a cumlative distance each month that would make a marathon, each month until the end of the year when she turns 18. What have I started! I wish her the best and can reflect only my journey to date. Given the support and encouragement of the people around us we can achieve anything we set our minds to, so go out there and live your goals.
Additionally the fund raising received a very nice boost today from one of my clients today who is 92 and about to go into hospital for a hip replacement. She said to me 'I hope my £100 makes a difference' to which I replied 'that £1 makes a difference, as it get me closer to my fund raising target and helps so many other people in the process'. Its not just the size of the donation but the effort to donate that's appreciated.
