359/365 Christmas Day 5K by Big Kev
Merry Christmas one and all. The weather gods where shinning, quite literally for my run this morning, I had to wear shades! The 5K flashed past as there was so much to do before our lunch date, therefore a sub 21 minutes 5K for that route is really very good.
Prior to the run it was great to have a lazy start to the day as the children aren't really children any more. Actually they were the ones that needed to be woken at a reasonable hour so we could fit the whole day in. However because of the later start we did need a little more focus around timings so that we could make it to the pub for lunch on time.
This is the first time we have ever had Christmas Lunch made by anyone else, other than family. This came about after Katie was asked to work in the pub today and so we felt we had to join her, not to work of course, just to eat and be waited upon obviously. This was made extra special as our waitresses for the day were Katie and the Landlady Sharon, who made it an excellent experience.
We are now back at home, full of food and good cheer and just waiting for Katie to call once the pub closes (6:00pm ish), then it will be Christmas day part 2.
Off to the Boxing Day run in Clevedon tomorrow and I am looking forward to seeing a lot of you there.
