275/365 Wednesday club run 6 miles by Big Kev

275/365 Wednesday club run 6 miles by Big Kev

A lovely run with GWR tonight, it was particularly warm and thankfully dry. This meant that a nice easy pace could be set, giving plenty of time chat and catch up with friends on how their week has gone. There was a lot of chat about races just gone and races forthcoming. This hobby of mine is full of irony, once the last race is run you are already moving onto the next one, you quite literally are only as good as your last race. This is only expanded upon as the club is split across so many distances and disciplines that there is always someone on, in or about to start another challenge.

So how do you measure the worthiness of the challenge or try to compare one against another. My take on it is, you don't. Every challenge is and can only be experienced and measured by the individual completing it. My own challenge has taught me to be humble and self promoting in equal measure. Whilst I feel the need to constantly promote the challenge for the good of Macmillan, I am always humbled by the challenge that others take on in the quest to either better themselves or provide funds for good causes. Its a real tough balancing act.

Good luck to you all what ever you take on.
