321/365 Long Ashton Sunday group run 7 miles by Big Kev

321/365 Long Ashton Sunday group run 7 miles by Big Kev

What a lovely way to spend a Sunday morning, 7 muddy miles with smiling friendly faces. This morning's route took Andy, James, Colin, Maggie, Marie, Emma, Steff and myself in a figure of eight around Ashton Court and Leigh Woods.

we started with a climb from Ashton Court car park through the Deer park up tot he gatehouse, then once crossed into Leigh Woods we made our way towards the towpath. After regrouping we exchanged anecdotes and made our way towards Nightingale Valley. It only seems like yesterday I was climbing the valley on Southville's Nightingale Nightmare race, but in fact that was 3 weeks ago, wow.

I am now home in time to be showered and dressed ready for lunch with the family before we put Katie back on the train to uni. We have had a brilliant weekend with lots of eating, drinking and most importantly laughing. From cocktails in TGI Friday's, scaring children while watching Thor and even eating Doner Kebabs (sorry Jamie).

It is has been a full on weekend, but it also seems to short as we now won't see Katie for another 5 weeks. However when we do, it will mean that I have only 10 days of the challenge left, so lots to look forward to.

A big thank you to Paul and Lucy for their very kind donation and comment. The fund raising is starting to really kick in now, thanks everyone.
